VBS Day 4!
We are quickly approaching our last day of this year’s Vacation Bible School. Day 4 was a big hit! The theme of our day was love. The children gathered at the Fireplace to hear the story of the Good Shepherd who lays down his life for his sheep. The Good Shepherd is willing to lay down his life for his sheep because he loves them. At the Beaver Theater the children learned about Blessed Mother Marianne Cope who will be canonized a saint in October of this year. She was born in Utica, NY and founded hospitals in Syracuse! She was an example of love because she was willing to go help care for the lepers in Molokai, Hawaii even though she knew she could get sick herself. The children played capture the flag, sharks and minnows and duck duck goose at Geyser Gorge. They made a pop-up puppet at the Pavilion and had “husky chow” for their snack. Tomorrow will prove to wrap up our week of VBS with a bang!

Everyone dances to “Trading my Sorrows” at the Fireplace. Here they are seen raising the roof for the “joy of the Lord!”

Children enjoy “husky chow” for their snack at the Lodge. Don’t worry, it tastes better than it sounds…
