VBS Day 5!
First of all, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and anyone who may have picked up a child from VBS today: we are sorry for the confusion about the parking lot. The parking lot was closed off because the tents for the parish picnic were going to be put up and it was only after that we realized the difficulties this caused for everyone. We apologize for the hassle and that will not happen again!
Today was our last day of Sonrise National Park! It was a great day to wrap up a great week. At the fireplace we heard the story of Paul and Silas singing God’s praises while in prison. The children made a “jingle stick” at the Pavilion to represent the song that Paul and Silas sang. They played kickball at Geyser Gorge, learned about St. Maximilian Kolbe at the Beaver Theater, acted out the story of Paul and Silas at Campfire Stories and had ice cream sundaes at the Lodge. Our annual water balloon toss turned quickly into our annual water balloon fight! Overall it was a great day and a great week! We had 45 participants and over 60 teen and adult volunteers! We can’t wait until next year!
