Celebrating 125 Years of Faith and Community
As we celebrate the 125th Anniversary of St. James Parish, we remember that our history is not only marked by dates and milestones, but by the people who have lived, worshiped, and grown in faith here.
These anniversary videos feature interviews with parishioners whose stories offer meaningful glimpses into the past 125 years of parish life. Through their memories, we see how St. James has remained a place of prayer, service, and community across generations.
We invite you to watch, listen, and reflect as we honor our shared past, give thanks for the present, and look forward with hope to the future of St. James Parish.
In this heartfelt interview, lifelong parishioner Carol Hall reflects on nearly eight decades of faith, family, and community at St. James Church. Baptized at St. James in 1946, Carol shares vivid memories of beloved priests, meaningful traditions like the May Crowning procession through the streets, and the deep support she experienced from the parish during life’s most challenging moments.
Longtime parishioner Jack Lindley reflects on 75 years of life and faith at St. James Church. Baptized as an infant and having received all his sacraments here, Jack shares vivid memories of his First Communion, parish life in the 1950s, and the many priests who shaped his spiritual journey.
In this lively and joy-filled interview, John shares his lifelong connection to St. James Church, a place he doesn’t describe as a parish, but as family. A cradle Catholic baptized at St. James, John reflects on nearly 70 years of memories, from his school days and sacraments to decades of service and volunteering behind the scenes.
